Why
does MARIGOLD HL Milk taste sweet? |
| |
|
MARIGOLD
HL milk is a low lactose milk. This means that it has been specially
processed to breakdown part of the lactose to simple sugars such as
glucose and galactose. Glucose and galactose taste sweeter than lactose
but there is absolutely no extra calories. |

| |
|
Pastuerisation
involves heating milk to a temperature of at least 71.7°C for
a minimum of 15 seconds and then cooling it rapidly. This effectively
kills off any harmful bacteria that may be present with minimum alteration
to the taste of natural milk. |

|
| |
|
Homogenisation
is a process to break down the light butterfat globules into very
fine particles thus allowing good distribution of butterfat throughout
the body of the milk. |
